The people behind every installation

Each member of the trendreel team owns one discipline and works alongside the others on every project. You deal with the person who will actually do the work, not an account manager.

How we work

How the team shares a studio project

A live studio fails at the joins between disciplines: a camera shot that the lighting cannot support, a microphone that the room undoes. We plan the four areas together and hand over a setup your own crew can run and repair.

One plan, four disciplines

Before anything is ordered or fitted, Helen, James, Priya and Tom review the room and the programme format together. Signal flow, camera positions, lighting plot and microphone plan are drawn against the same floor plan, so conflicts show up on paper rather than during rehearsal. Each specialist signs off their own part, and Helen keeps the overall schedule and the standard of the finished work.

Built for your crew

James prefers simple, well-labelled systems because the people who fix a fault at speed are usually your own technicians, not us. Priya trains operators on camera moves and lighting settings they can repeat from one transmission to the next. Tom explains his acoustic measurements in plain terms so producers understand why a panel goes where it does. Documentation is written for whoever runs the studio next year.

Experience in regional television

Helen came to consultancy after working as a studio manager in regional television, and that shapes how trendreel runs projects: realistic timings, rehearsal time built in, and respect for a gallery that has a programme to get on air. The team knows what a news desk, an interview set and a multi-camera live show each demand, and plans around the way your crew actually works rather than an ideal layout.
