Services
The five areas of live production work we plan, install and train crews in, and how a project moves from first visit to rehearsal.
Five areas that keep a live studio running as one

Studio Equipment Integration
We specify, wire and commission vision mixers, routers, monitoring and intercom so a studio runs as one system.
Camera Setup and Technique
Camera positioning, lens choice and operator guidance for news desks, interviews and multi-camera live shows.
Acoustic Optimisation
Room measurement, treatment and microphone planning to give clean, consistent speech on air.
Lighting Design
Lighting plots and fixture setups for flattering, consistent images across presenters, guests and sets.
Production Workflow Planning
Run-sheets, checklists and rehearsal routines that keep live programmes steady from rehearsal to transmission.
Scope depends on the room, the crew and the programme, so we usually agree it after a conversation or a visit. Tell us what you transmit and what is not working.
ContactStudio Equipment Integration
Contact
- Specification and signal flow
- We draw the full signal path before anything is bought, covering sources, routing, monitoring and talkback. You receive a diagram the crew can read, and we explain the reasons behind each choice.
- Wiring and labelling
- Cabling and patching are installed tidily and every connection is labelled at both ends. This makes faults quick to trace during a live programme and simple to hand over to new staff.
- Commissioning and testing
- We bring the system up in stages, test each path and check failure points deliberately. Operators run through their normal routines so any awkward control or layout is found before transmission.
- Handover and documentation
- The crew leaves with final diagrams, a labelling key and a short guide to common faults. We stay available for questions as the team settles into the new setup.
Useful to bring: a list of existing equipment, floor and gallery plans, the programme formats you run and any known problems with the current set-up.
From first conversation to a studio the crew can rely on
Initial conversation
We talk through your programmes, your crew, the room and what is not working. Questions at this stage save a good deal of effort later, so we ask plenty and listen to the people who use the studio daily.
Survey and measurement
We visit the studio, look at the gallery, floor, lighting and sound, and take measurements. Where possible we watch a rehearsal to see how the crew actually works rather than how the drawings say it should.
Plan and written quotation
We prepare diagrams, plots and a proposal covering the work, what is included and what could change the cost. You review it with your team and we revise it until it fits your needs.
Installation and commissioning
The agreed work is carried out with minimal disruption to your schedule. We test each system and each path, and the crew tries it in realistic conditions before we call it finished.
Rehearsal and handover
We run rehearsals with the crew, refine run-sheets and checklists, and explain the documentation. Operators leave knowing how to run the studio and what to do when something goes wrong.
